The Day Before We Leave
It’s the day before we leave and I have a list. I love lists as they keep me focused, calm, and offer the illusion of full control.
- Register in the EES (European Union Entry/Exit site)
- Download books for the plane
- Purchase Orange France internet eSIM card
- Purchase International Plan for Mint Mobile
- Clean the refrigerator
- Hydrate the piano
- Water the plants
- Pack sunglasses
- Check packing lists
- Print itinerary (in case something happens to my phone)
I’m sure there will be additional items, but that’s it for now. I’m prepared for long lines upon entering Portugal as shared by friends who visited Porto in June. I’m hoping the kiosk improvements are complete by Monday.
Meantime, Ryan and I are lounging at Chapin Beach soaking up the last rays of Cape sunshine. Migratory birds fly by and pause for a few worms in the sandy Brewster Flats, while I contemplate my own Atlantic flight and whether my snacks will be adequate.
